“Astu So Be It” the Marathi film has released on 15 July 2016. The film has opened with positive response from audience also the critics has given positive feedback to the film. It has received 3.5 rating out of 5 from critics and 4.5 rating out of 5 from audience. Also 74 % audience have given positive response to the film.
The film is directed by Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar. Sumitra Bhave ahs also written the story of the film and she narrated the screen play of the film as well. Film features Mohan Agashe, Ila Bhatey, Om Bhutkar, Devika Daftardar, Iravati Harshe, Aditi Kulkarni, Shekhar Kulkarni, Nachiket Purnapatre, Tejas Rao, Milind Soman, Amruta Subhash and Jyoti Subhash in important roles.
The story of the film revolves around Appa Dr. Chakrapani Shastri whose character is being played by Mohan Agashe is suffering from dementia. His daughter Ira and her husband Madhav are trying to cope with Appa’s decaying memory.One day Appa disappears, Ira his daughter is worried while Appa is living with a tramp couple Anta and Channama and their elephant Laxmi.
The film is basically about a father-daughter relationship. It shows how roles change when father’s memory get worse. It is a family drama film, story line of the film is quite good and interesting. Also the direction of the film is impressive. Dr. Mohan Agashe has done a brilliant job in the film. He has received appreciation for his character also.
